Avoid the harbour front menus. The restaurants directly on the main promenade with photos on the menu are rarely the best option. Walk one or two streets back and the quality improves significantly.
Book everything in summer. July and August in Los Cristianos are extremely busy. The best restaurants fill up days in advance — always call ahead.
Try something beyond the obvious. Los Cristianos has excellent Arabic, Indian and Cantabrian food alongside the seafood and Canarian classics. Zoco and Tandoori Hut are genuinely outstanding.
Ask about the daily fish. Even in a tourist area, the best restaurants bring fresh fish from the port daily. Ask what came in that morning before ordering.
